I'm writing this blog entry from inside Google's Picasa and its running on Linux!

It seems there are new cool desktop apps for linux coming out every day. Like the Democracy video player which is shown to the left.

Yes these apps have been available on Windows and Mac first. But the fact that they have been made available on Linux at all is a sign that we have come a long way.

I'm not sure Linux will ever replace Windows on the desktop but rather it will become irrelavent.

Only time will tell. :-)
